The Mighty Yak plays a wedding at the Magpies Nest Restaurant and The Vic Hotel
On the weekend just gone, we played a wedding on Friday night at the Magpies Nest restaurant. We were in a marquee just outside the main entrance of the function room. The crowd were great! By the end of the night everyone was on the dancefloor even though it was the paved area of the courtyard!
Packing up was a bit tricky because we were almost snap frozen by the super chilly wind. Honestly, these are the jobs that we relish. It’s just so great to perform when people are so into what we’re doing.
Saturday night, we were at the Vic hotel. It was extremely busy as people were lined up hundreds of yards to get in. Before we knew it it was 2 AM and after an encore we had some serious punters screaming one more, one more!
